I want to ask you a question so simple that you may have overlooked asking it yourself: how do you experience negative emotions?

Do you get curious about them?

Do you make time to sit and process the feelings?

Or do you distract yourself with activities such as scrolling through social media, socializing, binge-watching TV shows, etc.?

Now, you might think: who wants to process negative emotions? After all, you’re likely to experience many of them throughout the day, and it’s a waste of time to process them. I completely understand your concern; however, if you don’t make the time to make peace with your negative emotions, you are rejecting yourself.
