I was trying to highlight that regret brought into the present moment discolours our view of reality because we bring the stains of the past into our now experience. Regret is deeper than not having a croissant for breakfast (though I get the point you are trying to express). You may have regrets over not telling your dying father you loved him now that he is gone. You might regret not having lived your purpose. These are powerful states that if not reconciled and made peace with, can tarnish your life. All the best!
